Career Explore

This course is designed for juniors and is a prerequisite for the Senior Internship class.  The course will help students identify and evaluate personal goals, priorities, aptitudes, and interests with the goal of helping them make informed decisions about their careers. Students will be exposed to various sources of information on career and training options that will assist them in developing job search and employability skills including interview skills, composing job applications and resumes, money management, communication skills, interpersonal business relationships, behaviors, and personal responsibility. Additional course content will include consumer education and personal money management topics. Students will have the opportunity to explore several careers via research, mentor partners, and several job shadowing days.
